A businesswoman has been ordered by Lithuania's food safety regulator to scrap her brand, 'Buttered Butter' (Sviestas Sviestuotas), over EU laws. She counters that that the brand's use of a common Lithuanian phrase should not be taken literally and even the country's Economy Ministry has now gotten involved.
Dovilė Stonė founded her peanut butter business in 2014. It took time and effort to get it going, but she now enjoys a steady sale of product under the cheeky brand Sviestas Sviestuotas.
