Lithuania steps up controls for incoming travelers

Lithuania is stepping up controls at Vilnius, Kaunas and Palanga Airports and the seaport of Klaipeda for people arriving from foreign countries as of Monday in a bid to reduce the risk of spread of new coronavirus mutations.

Lithuania, however, is not following Latvia's suit yet and is not banning flights from the United Kingdom.
The Transport Ministry says checks will be made as to whether people have filled in the special questionnaires of the National Public Health Center, as well travelers' COVID-19 test results and when they were carried out will be checked at checkpoints where specialists from the State Border Guard Service, the NPHC and the airport and seaport terminals will work.
