LISBON — The village of Lisbon has started its annual spring cleaning and the cemetery and square are next on the list.
Mayor Peter Wilson reminded council members during their Tuesday meeting that on Saturday, volunteers will take to the cemetery and square for volunteer day and will be weeding and whacking all morning and afternoon.
Volunteers will be at the cemetery from 8:30 a.m. until noon, followed by the primping of the square by the downtown beautification committee. The square and cemetery are not the first areas in Lisbon that are being tended to as the Greenway Trail and North Country Trail already had their day of sprucing on Friday when members of the North County Trail Association spent the day picking up trash.
