ALLEN PARK -- Detroit could host a future NFL draft, with Lions president Rod Wood saying he hopes the city is a “serious contender” for hosting duties in 2024.
Wood spoke to reporters via Zoom after attending the league’s annual meetings with team owner Sheila Ford Hamp. The team’s interest in hosting the draft shouldn’t surprise anyone, with previous attempts to bring one -- and another Super Bowl -- to the Motor City.
