Lions grades: Short-handed defense offers little resistance to Green Bay’s offensive attack

Quarterbacks
It wasn’t Matthew Stafford’s best showing, but the veteran quarterback definitely gave the Lions a chance. Stafford completed 24 of 34 passes for 244 yards and one touchdown. He left the game late with a rib injury running inside the 5-yard line, taking an awkward hit reminiscent of the one out in Oakland last year. Stafford underwent X-rays after the game, and his status moving forward is not clear. He’s one of the league’s iron men, no doubt about that, but the toll he’s taking throwing this team on his back is piling up.
