Amounts of aid tripled into gaza. And the gazan brigades launch weaponized drones which target sites deep inside israeli territory for the first time target. Welcome to the program it is 1 00 a. M. In the gaza strip where israel is continuing to step up its Bombing Campaign with a wave of intense airstrikes in the past few hours. The number of lives lost in gaza has surpassed 5000. Lets take a look at the latest developments. More palestinians have been killed and wounded in l strike airstrikes targeting populated areas. Many of the casualties are women and children. In the north of the strip strikes hit the refugee camps. The military wing of hamas says it has released two more elderly captives for humanitarian reasons, following mediation by qatar and egypt. Hamas is vowing to retaliate against the ongoing airstrikes. Its military wing says to drones have been launched deep into israel for the first time. Meanwhile there is a desperate need for humanitarian aid, a small amount of relief has been entered into gaza. The group say it is a fraction of what is needed. Lets bring in our reporter live inside gaza. Hello. Plenty of moving parts this evening. I want to start with the most recent strikes. We have seen visions of the impacts of several deadly strikes this evening, one is north of where you are. What more do you know . Well, yes. The israeli bombardment in the gaza strip continues throughout this night. Heavy bombardment of refugee camps, tourists in buildings were flattened by israeli air forces. Casualties and death are reported during the strikes. The may concentration is in the city. Three residential buildings were leveled to the ground by the ongoing strikes. More than 10 palestinians were killed, while others, more than 50 others, were injured. They are receiving treatment right now. During the last couple of hours, the Israeli Occupation forces intensify the scale and domain of their attacks on the besieged territory. The majority of the attacks were victims, Young Children and women, who were could to clean injured, and even killed by the ongoing israeli fires on the besieged territory. Emily also tonight, two more captives have been released, what further information do you have . Reporter yes. The military of hamas has released two israeli dual nationality citizens who were captured during the beginning of this round of fighting. Palestinian fighters in the Israeli Occupation forces, the hostages have been offered before the Israeli Government to be handed over to the Israeli Government. But the Israeli Government firstly refused to receive an receptor those hostages. The hostages were released, due to humanitarian conditions and reasons, according to the military of hamas, who handed over those hostages to the palestinian red cross who in turn delivered them to egyptians, to be transferred to the israeli territories. Emily thanks for the updates. Our reporter inside gaza. On the release of those captives, stephen ryan is a spokesperson for the International Committee of the red cross, which was involved in the transfer. Is important to underline the neutral and impressionable that it has. Its what enables us to facilitate such operations, while at the same time, aiming to provide humanitarian assistance. The entire organization is relieved to see the people return to their families. In such difficult conditions where there is ongoing fighting in gaza. They have been calling for the release of hostages since the onset of the crisis, while also offering humanitarian assistance. We are not involved in selecting who was released and when, certainly, we continue to visit all of the hospitals that enable them to have contact to their families. This is something where they will need to have medical checks. For everybody, we must appreciate that the most important thing is for them to get home safely to their families. And while they are not involved in negotiating about the release of hostages, we act as a neutral intermediary between parties to enable these types of releases to happen. Certainly, we think it is important that all hostages are released and we have been calling that throughout. Emily my colleague spoke to a senior spokesman for hamas about the two israeli captives who have been released. On friday, we were ready to release two or more. Another two israelis women. At that time the americans accepted, those two. The Prime Minister, he has accepted that. Have they been released now . What is the process . When will . . They be returned israel they were already released. We have agreed on, they did not follow the rules which was discussed. That shows that israelis are not committed to anything. They are not committed. The release was done in mediation with qatar. What did hamas do for the release, and what did you say israel did not appear to . We did not do nothing. We release them, for the humanitarian issues. But we were talking about the process itself. And everyone knows that we want to guarantee the safety of the two women safety of the two women. We ask to stop bombing at least for the time to release them, sending them very close, and turning them to the authorities. According to what we have agreed on, israel has not done that. There is no trust to be talked about. You cant trust the israel side. It shows that they do not accept to follow the rules all the time. The Israeli Military spokesperson said more than 212 people are currently being held in gaza. That is now 210. Do we now have a prospect for more captives to be released . Well, i think it was clear from the first time that we are not talking about the militants. The militants, if you want to talk about them, we have to talk about but we have talked about civilians who were kept in gaza. We consider those civilians as guests. They are not hostages. They will be sent back home as soon as there is special conditions guaranteed, and not being killed by the israeli bombing, in order to say those people were killed. That happened on friday. We hope it will be better than what happened today. Anyway [indiscernible] they dont care about their lives. They just want to kill more people. You are saying the remaining civilians, lets be clear about this, the remaining civilians, hamas will release them, as long as israel adheres to a ceasefire . This will happen. But israel is not accepting that. The clear example is what happened now. The pressure must be against it. The palestinians are willing to guarantee the safety, more than anything else. Theres also reports in the israeli media that have been reporting for the last few, hours about the prospect of 50 captives being released, what can you tell us about that . Yes. Those were romans. We dont know why they are telling those rumors. Maybe they want to sabotage the process. Maybe this is something else. If they want to continue they have to be honest. They have to stop telling lies, lies about what they have said about bombing the hospital, like the first day about killing women and children. They understand that everyone knows now that they were lying. They have to stop the lies, like what they have said now in their media. Emily lets bring in charles of stratford, who joins us from the occupied west bank. What has been the reaction out of israel . There has been a Statement Released by a spokesperson for the israeli Prime Minister office. The Statement Reads that the idf, the Israeli Military security forces, worked hard in the last few days to secure the release. They thanked the egyptians and the red cross. There was no mention of qatar. We heard from hamas that qatar were at the forefront of these negotiations. That statement went on to say that they continue all efforts to locate the missing, and return them. We know how difficult a challenge this is, any military analyst will tell you. The idea of having more than 200 captives being held in an area like that which of course, hamas has dug in. They have kilometers of tunnels that crisscross the gaza strip underground. Just locating these captures is going to be a huge challenge for the israelis, let alone getting them out. Then we have heard, as you just heard in the interview with the hamas spokesperson, these were just rumors that begun spreading earlier in the afternoon where we began to hear from the israeli media, initially in the American Media that there were up to 50 other captives that were going to be released. That now has been slammed down by hamas. But hamas saying that they are potentially keen on getting civilians, that they got captive, out of the gaza strip, implying that they are focused on keeping members of the israeli army inside gaza. So, it has been a fascinating evening. But, one, so money on unanswered questions, the safety, whereabouts and efforts by the israelis seemingly and International Partners like egypt and qatar to secure the release of these other hostages. It remains an incredibly complicated endeavor. Just to say one last thing, its worth pointing out that these two women have left there to husbands both in their 80s. We understand both civilians are still inside gaza. Emily that is important to make that point. Also, in terms of developments, on monday hundreds of people in the occupied west bank have protested over the death of a palestinian inside an israeli prison. What is the story there . Well, yes. It is a bit more than that. Omar is a well wasa wellrespected hamas leader amongst his supporters, in the town. Which is northeast in the occupied west bank. He was taken prisoner in one of these many israeli raids. He was taken as a prisoner on october 9. It was announced today by the Palestinian Authority that he had died in captivity. According to his lawyer who was privy to an online Court Appearance made by him earlier today, he was said he said he was in fine health. The Israeli Prison Service released a statement later saying that indeed he had died. Apparently he was having treatment at a clinic. An ambulance was called and he was pronounced dead by the medics when they arrived. Hamas and Islamic Jihad calling this an is assassination. We have seen people protesting in the northwest occupied west bank. There have been calls for more protests by hamas supporters. Just before i go, just a giving update on the last hour, we are hearing reports of an ongoing Israeli Military incursion in the village of burka. That village is northwest of the city of nablus in the occupied west bank. We understand according to the israeli media and to palestinian journalists in the area that there was there were clashes between the Israeli Military and palestinian government. There is reports that the Israeli Military is saying one of their soldiers has been injured. There was a similar incident in another village, jabba, no injuries reported their. That was a military raid to search a house and the military has left. Some indication as we go into the early hours of the morning that more israeli raids in a bid to take more suspected palestinian fighters as prisoners. We expect more of the raids in the hours to come. Emily keep us across those developments. The u. S. Will act appropriately to secure its National Security interests in the middle east. Washington says it does not want to see the israel Hamas Conflict widen. Fearing rocket and drone attacks. The Iranian Foreign minister says the u. S. Must stop its hypocrisy. Today the region is a powder cake. The u. S. Security establishment is directing the war, the zionist regime is suffering eternal collapse. I spoke with the Russian Foreign minister and we are consulting with china their resolution against the palestinians will not be adopted at the un Security Council. Palestinian resistance groups are ready for a long military group, israel targets civilians. The u. S. Has sent messages to him asking him not to open a new front, but received messages asking us to practice restraint, and asked us to show others to ask for strength. But in the past two weeks the u. S. Is sending military equipment. Now i am saying to biden, stop your hypocrisy. Emily we have been following developments from the iranian capital. Reporter iranians foreign minister made it very clear that he has been making all kinds of efforts on the diplomatic front to try and deescalate the situation, but also bring some kind of resolution to the humanitarian crisis unfolding in gaza. The Iranian Foreign minister said he has spoken to the leader of hamas, as well as Islamic Jihad over the past 24 hours, during which, the men discussed the ongoing conflict. The two palestinian men made it clear that they understand this could be a long haul at this conflict, and there ready for the long fight. The Iranian Foreign minister for the first time said that iran has been receiving messages through a third party from the united states, urging the iranians to show restraint, as well as to exert their influence on the various groups lay the region for them not to escalate the situation but the foreign minister made it clear that these groups are independent of iran an act of their own volition. He said that the hypocrisy that the u. S. Has displayed has never been more evident. He said they are talking about us showing selfrestraint when they themselves have been supplying weapons for the past two weeks israel and also moving their war ships closer. He had the following message for the u. S. President , he said how can you talk, how can you say that you dont want an expansion of this war and now i am saying to biden, stop your hypocrisy. Those words from the foreign minister. He said he has been meeting with the foreign russian minister during which the meetings he talked about china, as well as russia using their veto power at the Security Council to prevent the u. S. From passing any kind of Security Council resolution on the ongoing war in gaza. Emily lets bring in our reporter from washington dc, the pentagon has delivered a briefing. The focus was squarely on iran. Talk us through it. It was fascinating. This is one of those briefings for the media where we are not allowed to quote who briefed us just a senior military official, but clearly it is there concern, their priority, their messages they want to get across in the media and it was clearly iran and the risk of a widening regional conflict. They said it was a significant threat of escalation in the near term and irans fingerprints were all over it. They said there were efforts for iran and iranian proxies to escalate the conflict. Incidentally, over the last day or so there have been more tax in syria more attacks, in syria. The spokesperson was very cagey about it. We also understand an attack is currently underway at the oilfield that the u. S. Controls in eastern syria. What was curious about this briefing for the media was talking of messages to iran. It there seem to be a message they wanted us to give to iran, one iran attacks u. S. Forces in iraq and syria, the only reason u. S. Forces are there is to support parties to ensure their defense against isis. Iran is allowing isis to reconstitute and destabilize the region. Their message being, you are attacking us but you are attacking our own interest. The problem with that, it is rather unfortunate, because as far as syria is concerned, i dont know whether they have forgotten this but trump has said the only reason u. S. Forces were in syria was to take the oil. There is no national you legality to the u. S. Present there. It was a curious entreaty given the u. S. Presence in syria. Emily as we have been reporting, there has been to more captives released by hamas. What is washingtons role in these negotiations . Talking of curious we had another offthecuff comment from joe biden. He was asked whether the u. S. With the word a potential ceasefire for a hostages deal. He replied, we should have the hostages released and then we can talk. It is another one of those statements from biden, offthecuff in response to a question that is causing buzz . Is this the u. S. And their official position . Has this position been communicated to hamas . We do not know. All we know is that that is what biden said at the time. Thats what he thought at the time. We often get these walk backs from the white house soon after. Now that is presented in some elements of the u. S. Media, saying there could be a deal. We should have those hostages released and we can talk. Biden prepared to talk to hamas. We have no idea if that is true or not. Its another biden offthecuff remark. Officially, all we keep on hearing is that the u. S. Is giving israel advice on hostages and there are constant leaks to the press that the u. S. Is asking israel to pause a ground offensive some more hostages are released. Officially, both israel and the u. S. Skirt around that issue. Israel denies it outright. Emily thanks for bringing us up to speed. Thank you. Residence in southern lebanon living close to the border with israel say the area is being transformed into a warzone. Bombing powerless in the center of an unpredictable conflict, people here can only hope it will end soon. Emily with security fees growing across israel, about 60,000 people from the north and areas around gaza have been evacuated to the small port town in southern israel. Teresa bos sent us this update. Reporter we are here on the shores. Of the red sea. Its a Tourist Destination that has been overwhelmed of people being evacuated. It is considered to be safer, from the rockets coming from gaza. Because shops are open. There is music on the street. It is a different environment from what is happening closer to the border with gaza. Thousands of people have been evacuated from the area, also from northern israel where people are fleeing, the latest fighting between hezbollah on the israeli army. 200,000 people have been evacuated in israel. Many have not gone well, mostly because in the area, that evacuation was halted because there were not enough hotel rooms in the city. Around a 60,000 people have arrived here.
