GREENWICH — At the historic moment that Joseph R. Biden is sworn in as the 46th president on Wednesday, most of the students in the Greenwich Public Schools will not be viewing the inauguration ceremonies live in their classrooms.
Citing the violence in the Jan. 6 attempted insurrection at the Capitol by white supremacists and loyalists of outgoing President Donald J. Trump, Superintendent of Schools Toni Jones has banned the live broadcast of the inauguration — at least in prekindergarten through eighth-grade classrooms in the district.
