TAMPA BAY - The Tampa Bay Lightning have hired veteran play-by-play announcer Dave Randorf as the voice of the team, the club and FOX Sports Sun announced today. Randorf brings more than 30 years of broadcasting experience to the Lightning family and will be joining the FOX Sports Sun broadcasting crew with NHL broadcasting veterans Brian Engblom, Paul Kennedy, Dave Andreychuk, Bobby Taylor and Adam Hall.
Randorf, 53, has been broadcasting NHL games for Rogers Sportsnet for the past six years, serving as the play-by-play commentator for Sportsnet's national telecasts for Hockey Night in Canada, Wednesday Night Hockey, Rogers Hometown Hockey and the Stanley Cup Playoffs. During the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs, Randorf served as the play-by-play announcer for the Western Conference Final for Sportsnet. He also announced the 2015 and 2016 NHL All-Star Game and Skills Competition for Sportsnet.
