The city says the licence will ensure that regulatory conditions are consistent for all residential-short terms accommodations and that enforcement costs remain low.
An STA licence is required for all individuals offering their own residence as accommodation for 30 days or less. The licence costs $100 for a residence in which the owner lives and $300 for a separate residence.
