Library, museum and theater team up to host 'Community Conversations' for Detroit Lakes
The Detroit Lakes Public Library, Becker County Museum and Historic Holmes Theatre are joining forces this month to host a series of online, virtual "Community Conversations" about current hot topics. The first, titled "Education in a Pandemic," is set for this Thursday, Jan. 28, at 7 p.m. Future conversations will take place on the fourth Thursday of each month, through April 22.

The global pandemic known as COVID-19 has had an inescapable impact on all levels of community living in Detroit Lakes over the past 11 months, and while its spread is currently on the wane, its effects are still being felt — especially when it comes to educating our children.
