Even though he first learned about it by surprise in a carefully crafted ceremony,
Liberty High School Principal Harrison Bailey’s award for Pennsylvania’s secondary principal of the year is no fluke. The Bethlehem Area School District community organized the ceremony to honor Bailey on Thursday afternoon. The Pennsylvania Principals Association gives out the award annually. It’s as deserving of an award as they come. Bailey helped launch the Project Lead the Way curriculum, allowing students to explore engineering and biomedical sciences before college. He also integrated restorative justice practices into the school culture and undertook other initiatives that have given Liberty students the best chance possible to learn and succeed. We congratulate him.
