Libertarian Party won't rally in support of Navalny in Moscow after administration's denial of request
MOSCOW. Feb 10 (Interfax) - The Moscow city administration has denied authorization to a rally in support of opposition activist Alexei Navalny which was due to be held on February 23, because of the unfavorable epidemiological situation as concerns coronavirus, Alexander Gud, press secretary for the unregistered Russian Libertarian Party, said on Wednesday.
"The Moscow city administration has denied us a rally on the grounds of 'the spread of the coronavirus infection,'" Gud told Interfax on Wednesday.
The Moscow city regional security and anti-corruption department has warned that, if such a rally does take place, its organizers and participants will be held liable, he said.
