L'Heritage's Ève Tremblay recipient of major scholarship

A Cornwall student has learned she’s the recipient of a major scholarship presented by the University of Ottawa.
And it has come as quite a surprise to 17-year-old Ève Tremblay, in Grade 12 at l’école secondaire publique L’Héritage, who thought that a recent phone call from a representative at the university was simply to confirm she was still in the running for the $30,000 President’s Scholarship.

“I was a little bit shocked – I assumed (the phone call was) for an interview that was part of the (evaluation) process,” Tremblay said.
