A Lewiston Orchards home suffered extensive damage following a fire Tuesday afternoon.
Fire crews responded to the home located at 1608 Powers Avenue around 2:30pm and found active flames. Fireman were able to bring the blaze under control in about 20 minutes.
The power was shut down to the structure and surrounding homes for about one hour and the Lewiston Orchards Irrigation District responded to shut down the water to the structure because of damage to interior pipes.
The cause of the fire appears to have been unattended cooking.
Damage to the home was estimated at $100,000 and there were no injuries reported. (Lewiston Fire Department)
