The Longmont Veterans Day Parade on Nov. 11 was again well orchestrated and attended. Many hours of preparation went into planning and carrying out this annual salute to Veterans. When asked if we could post our temporary mobile reviewing stand in front of the Trojan Theatre for a few hours as has been the norm for many years, parade organizers were asked to find another location for this year’s parade. We just needed a few short hours on a Saturday morning and were disappointed to be turned away. But we found a new friend in Barbed Wire Books at 504 Main. This venue was most gracious in allowing us time there during their business hours along with an electrical plug-in for our sound system.
