Rug keeps getting pulled out from under us
Michael Buchta's experience (Letters, March 11) mirrors almost exactly my own, including the hopeful, hourly email checks. My wife and I are in our 80s, dutifully pre-registered for the vaccine and have now received two weekly invitations, by name, from Lane County Health to schedule our COVID-19 vaccination appointments.
The latest episode occurred on last Tuesday afternoon when, literally as I watched, the invitation email for both of us arrived in my inbox. As fast as my arthritic fingers could move, I scanned down it and clicked on the link provided. Sure enough, after clicking the requested buttons, there was the dreaded, "This week's vaccine doses have been scheduled ..." notice.
