As a history teacher I am deeply concerned about what objections to the 2020 Election results will teach our students. Every semester my students must make a historical argument and provide evidence to support that argument. Besides writing skills, their biggest struggle is gathering good evidence and distinguishing between fact and opinion. The objections to this election are based on rumors, conspiracy theories, and have been thrown out of courts across the country because of the lack of evidence (and would get a very low grade in my class).
