Workers install supports for a temporary trestle that the crane will travel on to build the new bridge over Crane Creek for the Brightline trains. The work is being done just west of the BACK Center north of Prospect Ave.
Lead issues must be monitored
I read with interest the recent column on demolishing the antiquated and badly corroded rail trestle over the St. Sebastian River and the associated problem of lead contaminated paint falling into the water. There are also deteriorating rail trestles over the Eau Gallie River and Crane Creek that are being replaced to accommodate high speed rail service.
