It is indeed a sad day when our townâs leading conservative speaks out in favor of the proposed solar project being promoted by our very liberal governor and only possible because it is heavily subsidized by New York state taxpayer dollars.
I believe the town of Byron will be forever changed because of the negative visual impact of solar panels. I am certainly not looking forward to having them located on three sides of my home.
The development of solar energy may well be desirable. However, I think it is a serious mistake to place solar panels on some of the best agricultural land in the state of New York when it could be located on land that is less productive.
