For chief medical officer Dr. Bruce Davidson, this has been a Western Canada Summer Games with less.
And for that, he's glad.
There's been less heat and humidity, fewer injuries and trips to the hospital emergency room.
"We've been lucky we haven't had the true Kamloops heat," he said Thursday afternoon outside the multi-disciplinary polyclinic that takes up the bottom floor of Thompson Rivers University's Arts and Education building.
With three days left in the Games, Davidson is starting to look back and put it into some perspective.
"Our volume is less than we were expecting," he said. However, he added, rough-and-tough sports like rugby, soccer and cycling were still left.
