FORMER hooker Les Kay is a real mine of information about the amateur game in St Helens back in the late 1950s and early 1960s.
He got in touch with Saints historian Alex Service to tell a tale or two about the oval-ball game's fine history in the town - and his part in it.
“I’ve got a record that can rarely be beaten,” he says.
