Leon Valley businessman Benny Martinez, ousted from his Place 4 City Council seat two years ago but elected to Place 1 on Saturday, wants his suburban community to “bury” rancor of the past.
Martinez was removed from office through a process known as forfeiture in 2019 by a vote of two council members. Voters then recalled those council members in November 2020.
