The sounds of trumpets and bagpipes filled the air outside the Lebanon County courthouse Tuesday morning.
One of those they were playing for was former state Sen. David Arnold, who passed away in January after a battle with brain cancer. Before elected to that office in 2019, Arnold served as the Lebanon County district attorney.
"We know his dedication, we know his passion, (and) we know he was one of us," current District Attorney Pier Hess Graf said. "Our office, (and) myself, we miss him every day."
That's why Arnold was among those honored by county, state and local officials and various police officers Tuesday as part of National Police Week.
