Residents across Wrexham are being urged to continue following the coronavirus restrictions in place and follow the advice issued by Test Trace Protect if contacted by the locally run team.
The situation in Wales was described as having “deteriorated further” by First Minister Mark Drakeford last week, who warned last week that tighter restrictions could be introduced after Christmas if various indicators do not decrease.
In the last week alone there were 14,000 new cases of the virus in Wales, with one in five tests carried out coming back positive. The latest figures for Wrexham has the local authority area now just over the 250 per 100k mark, with a positive proportion of 15.7%.
