Lawyer attacked with sharp weapon in Shariatpur Bar Association building

A young lawyer was attacked inside the building of Shariatpur Bar Association last night soon after the election results of the district bar association was announced.
The injured was identified as Advocate Shahidul Islam Sajib, 32, hailing from Sadar upazila of the district, reports our correspondent quoting Md Aslam Uddin, officer-in-charge of Palong Police Station.
Quoting witnesses, the OC said some six to seven unknown people, wearing masks, swooped on lawyer Sajib with locally made sharp weapon at around 9:30pm at the second floor of the bar association building when he, along with his some fellow lawyers, was celebrating the victory of their panel.
