Lawmakers scuffle over bill to retrospectively acquit former president

Taipei, April 21 (CNA) Scuffles broke out among lawmakers in the Legislature on Thursday as the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) pushed forward an amendment that seeks to retrospectively acquit former President Chen Shui-bian (陳水扁) of corruption charges for misusing a state affairs fund when in office.
