The impact of cuts proposed by Laurentian University struck harder on Tuesday as many students learned they would be losing teachers — as well as, in some cases, whole programs — and a shaken faculty met to review contract changes.
Professors were being asked to approve a modified collective agreement, as part of the restructuring process Laurentian launched through the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act, with a vote result expected by 10 p.m on Tuesday.
