Laurel Police K9 Officer Colt enjoys a belly rub at Firemen's Park next to the Laurel Safety Complex Wednesday. Colt's handler, Officer Jackson Booth said Colt likes to purposefully get his foot stuck in the rope of his toy to game the system for a belly rub.

LAUREL â Laurel police officers welcomed their newest member to the force last week, a 22-month-old Belgian Malinois K9 officer named Colt who is trained to sniff out methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin and help find missing people.
