UPPER GWYNEDDÂ â Thursday marked a major milestone for a local nonprofit that's planning a move into a new home.
Montgomery County and regional officials joined the leadership of nonprofit Laurel House in a virtual groundbreaking ceremony for their new "Safe Haven Center" in Upper Gwynedd.
"The Safe Haven Center will provide an accessible, welcoming space for domestic violence survivors and their families, to receive counseling, support services, lodging, and much more," said State Sen. Maria Collett, D-12th.
