Cabinet Office: Commissioner for Public Appointments – William Shawcross CVO has been confirmed as the Prime Minister's preferred candidate for the role; Committee on Standards in Public Life – Professor Gillian Peele and Ewen Fergusson appointed members from 1 August.
Ministry of Defence:
UK Hydrographic Office – Marion Leslie appointed Interim Non-Executive Chair replacing Adam Singer who has stepped down from the post on retirement.
Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport: Reviewing Committee on the Export of Works of Art – Professor Mark Hallett and Dr Tim Pestell appointed as Members for four years from 13 August to 12 August 2025; UK Anti-Doping – Trevor Pearce re-appointed as Chair for four years from 23 February to 22 February 2025; Mark Foster and Suman Ziaullah appointed as Members for four years from 15 July to 14 July 2025; Elizabeth Denham re-appointed as Information Commissioner for a further period of three months from 18 July.
