For the majority of Wednesday’s showdown at ‘The Elm’ between the leaders of the Catholic League’s Central Division, the Detroit Catholic Central Shamrocks played like the defending champs that they are, carrying play to league newcomer Toledo St. John’s Jesuit. It was the other couple of minutes of game time — particularly in the final two minutes — that proved problematic, and may have cost the Shamrocks a chance at remaining the champs, with a 2-1 loss.
