Las Vegas airport may soon be named after former Sen. Harry Reid

Las Vegas’s McCarran International Airport may soon sport the name of another U.S. Senator: former Senate Majority Leader Harry M. Reid.
The Clark County Commission voted Tuesday to approve the change. The airport’s staff will now apply to the Federal Aviation Administration for a formal name change, a process that is expected to take months to finalize.
