Larry King's widow Shawn files Petition of Probate seeking to be named executor of late star's $2M estate after he cut her out of his will
Shawn, 61, is challenging a handwritten revised will from 2019 in which the veteran journalist left his estate to his five children
The note was written shortly after Larry filed for divorce from Shawn after 22 years of marriage
A court hearing on the matter has been set for May 4, People reported Wednesday 
The TV and radio host passed away in January at age 87 after contracting sepsis 
The former couple's divorce had not been finalized at the time of Larry's death
