Laredo council to discuss COVID updates as cases shrink

City council members will gather for their Monday meeting to discuss topics involving the COVID-19 communication strategy, adjustment of the rules in the Laredo Historic District, the partnership between the city and community partners like Bethany House and The Holding Institute, and building permits on previously unavailable lots.
With the less than 100 active COVID cases recorded on Friday, the city is set to transition to a Level I criteria as a result of its own Level of Communications criteria. Communications Administrator Noraida Negron told LMT Friday that an update to the communication strategy would be discussed during the Monday meeting.
