Langham man charged with attempted murder after woman stabbed in Oakham

A man has been charged after two people were assaulted in Oakham on Thursday (January 21).
Robert Truscott, 47, of Lowther Close, Langham, Oakham, has been charged with attempted murder, section 18 grievous bodily harm and possession of a bladed article.
He was remanded to appear before Leicester Magistratesâ Court today (Saturday, January 23).

A second man who was arrested in connection with the incident has since been released no further action.
The charges relate to an incident in Bullfinch Close in Oakham during Thursday evening.
The 36-year-old victim remains in the Queenâs Medical Centre in Nottingham where her condition has been described as critical but stable.
