LAKEHURST, NJ — A North Jersey man was arrested earlier this month after police seized 190 doses of heroin from his vehicle following a motor vehicle stop in Lakehurst, police said.
Ethel Okafor, 29, of Orange, was charged with possession of heroin and possession with intent to distribute heroin, along with possession of marijuana, after a traffic stop on Route 547, police said.
Officer Gavin Cecchini pulled over the vehicle Okafor was driving about 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 2 for numerous motor vehicle violations, police said. The investigation led to a search of the vehicle and Okafor, who was found to be in possession of an unspecified amount of marijuana and about 19 bundles of heroin, police said.
