As part of the Foundation of Lightâs dedicated matchday on Saturday, the team will sport commemorative shirts.
Sunderland host Accrington Stanley at the Stadium of Light this weekend and the game is being used as an opportunity to showcase the work of the clubâs official charity and to celebrate their 20th anniversary.
The players will each wear a shirt with a special Foundation 20th birthday logo on the chest as well as t-shirts during the warm-up with special thank you messages for the continuous support throughout the last two decades.
The shirts will be auctioned after the game on eBay, with all proceeds going straight back to the Foundation to help support the work they do.
