Lack of funds delay Mara regional hospital project
CONSTRUCTION of the Mara Regional referral hospital is being hindered by delayed funds disbursement from the central government, it has been revealed.
The situation has prompted project implementer— the National Housing Cooperation (NHC)—to request for additional six months to complete the project which was supposed to be handed over to the government in August last year.
Mara Regional Administrative Secretary Catherine Mthapura said this yesterday when briefing Deputy Minister for Lands, Housing and Human Settlement Development, Dr Angelina Mabula who toured the region to inspect implementation of development projects.
