LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – The nationwide eviction moratorium ends Saturday. People who don’t or can’t pay their rent face eviction. Extensions to the rule saved millions around the country from problems during the pandemic.
The pain of the calendar year since March of last year is felt in the wallets of renters. A federal moratorium bought time for tenants around the country.
“I think we’ve been fortunate to have the eviction moratorium in place,” said Kim Cable, housing and community services director for Couleecap.
