L.A. City Council Approves Fines for Slow Container Movement At Port of LA

In another effort to speed the processing of cargo and eliminate a backlog of ships trying to deliver merchandise, the Los Angeles City Council today authorized the Port of Los Angeles to fine companies whose containers linger at the marine terminals.
