Meteorologist chelsea in gram live at cooper river park with a look at is what coming, snow, that is what were hearing. Reporter that is what they are saying, you guys, that is what we are saying, and it is so funny because i have seen a couple people out here enjoying nice jog run this afternoon and evening wearing short sleeves, but it is hard to believe we have some snow possibly heading our way. Lets look at our Current Conditions with the mobile weather watcher, look at these numbers, we are looking at temperatures in the lower 50s , right now, of course, dropping rapidly overnight and that will set us up for a colder, start to the weekend and yes, indeed some areas will see some snow, so lets cover what the setup looks like as we head into the weekend. High pressure in control as we head into saturday, much of the day dry, we will start off morning with sunshine and then quickly see these cloud on the increase and then chances for snow will increase as snow developed saturday afternoon and evening, the storm will exit super quickly they by sunday morning, sunshine will return in full as we head into the afternoon but because of that threat for snow, in some areas likely seeing accumulating snow we have winter storm watches that have been issue, north and west of i95 so north and west of philadelphia, as well as delaware county, as you head north and west and into bucks, montgomery, chester counties, winter storm watches that go into effect, saturday afternoon, so what can we expect, as far as snowfall amounts, and the evolution of this whole system. Lets go inside to meteorologist kate bilo for details, kate. Thanks, chelsea a far cry tomorrow at this time we will be seeing snow falling across the area, tonight, it is mild enough as chelsea said to jog without a heavy jacket on. It is still raining, checking in our rain spots here on the live Neighborhood Network look at that glistening water on the boardwalk but not snow at least not yet. Rehoboth beach not going to get snow from this system but mainly all rain could start mixing with just a few flakes but mostly south ande of philadelphia will be quiet. We are looking at this moisture right here continuing to track and see this cold front laying right here almost a stationary boundary and storm will track right along that line so if you follow it that brings center have the low just south of our area, cold air pushing in tonight means any moisture that storms throws northward will hit cold and change to snow and it all depends on where you are, we have to watch that mix line some will see rain. That is all we are seeing tonight showers from atlantic city, cape may, delaware beaches starting to move off coast and in the wake temperatures are dropping. It is a matter of timing here we are just seeing the moisture and cold arrive at the same time, and that is how you get a snowstorm, we need both ingredients or lake this week all rain or if you have cold without moisture you just get a cold winter day. When they combine you get threat for snow and that is what we are seeing. Fiftyeight right now. Dont need coat out tonight, later tonight once the skies clear temperatures are going to drop rapidly. It will feel different testimony morning then it hads been feeling today and for past couple days, tomorrow feels more lick february is supposed to feel. The morning as chelsea mentioned will start with sunshine but watch how quickly snow will over spread the area , out and about doing things in the city, dunn town Walking Around everything fine and three or 4 00 cloud roll in and by 5 00 it is snowing and once it starts it will ramp up quickly. This is a fast moving storm and snowfall rates will be intense. So plan accordingly out tomorrow and dont want to drivein this make sure you are home by 5 00 because once we get toward seven it is snowing at a good rate. We see snowfall rates have half inch to an inch per hour that can overcome the fact that the ground is warm, and can pile up quickly. Watch this rain line, starts to sneak north by 8 00 see that change over to rain in millville, rain snow lane gets to i95 by 10 he clock but still knowing in the north and western suburbs and will continue into the overnight hours, gets out of here quickly and we may wake up sun take morning with fresh snow on the ground and sun shining and that will help snow start to melt. How much are we talking about is what we want to know, three to 6 inches in the jackpot zone north and western suburbs from the main line, letter bucks county, right on up to the Lehigh Valley. There may be a corridor of heavier snow not including poconos but in upper bucks, montgomery and Lehigh Valley where highest amounts of four, five or 6 inches fall. In philadelphia a slushy inch or two is most likely and change over to rain and mainly rain for the shore and delaware. In camden, Gloucester County an inch or two is most lakely. So will you have to shovel is the question if you are in the Lehigh Valley, poconos break that shovel out sunday morning , same story in the North Western suburbs. It will eventually melt but if you want to get somewhere sunday morning you have to dig out. I95 points south and east is possible may have to brush off car, road should respond well at first but north and west again red could get dicey tomorrow unlikely to break out snow shovel down the shore. And then look at this, starts to melt the snow on sunday, moth are nature will help you out by tuesday in of that will be left, it is 70 degrees, a big temperature swing starting next week. We have snow tomorrow afternoon and evening, sunday is sunny, milder, and then temperatures rise we will hit 70 by tuesday with the chance for a little rain, weather whiplash ahead, ukee and nicole. Weather roller coaster as we head in the weekend. In the 60s past couple days to day mild even though it was a wet day but tomorrow were right back to february and with the drop in temperatures comes threat for snow. We are seeing rain clearing the coast, there are a few showers still down the shore and in southern delaware but skies will clear tonight and we have got our second storm heading our way. See the moisture down there . That will lift to the south, tomorrow and enough cold air to the north, moisture coming from the south, and that combination will cause the threat for some snow. So for rest of tonight just a few showers, sprinkles left around early, roads are wet but everything quieting down, skies clearing overnight, lows then fall into the 20s, much more like february is supposed to feel and it will turn less windy. Temperatures right now still in the 50s but cold air to the north, were only in the 20s and 30s to the north and west and as that cold air comes in and moisture moves from the south a winter storm watch will go into effect at 4 00 oclock tomorrow afternoon for all area north and west of philadelphia including montgomery, bucks, chester counties and this system starts to move
