Lets talk about the big temperature change. 4 00 a. M. This morning, 59 degrees. Almost a 30degree temperature drop just within 12 hours. By 4 00 p. M. , we were at freezing at Philadelphia International airport. And temperature change across the region over the last 24 hours, those numbers have changed anywhere from the 20s to about 40 degrees colder all depending on where you live. It feels more like 8 degrees when you factor in that wind chill in allentown, feels more like 10 in reading, feels like 15 in millville. We are in for some single digit wind chills as we head into the overnight hours tonight under mainly clear skies. Low temperatures in the teens and actually a wind chill advisory issued for the poconos. Ill have more coming up in your full forecast. Well talk about the chance for snow. Reporter natasha, this parking lot area just outside lincoln financial field was just as packed just a few hours ago when eager eagles fans were out here excited and tailgating. Now as you mentioned most of them have filed into the stadium. They are enjoying an pclose attg firsthand what is a very close game. Its been years since eagles fans have been able to enjoy a season this long. Eagles, eagles reporter a season that has them tailgating mid january for a playoff game. Thousands of excited eagles fans packed the parking lots of lincoln financial field despite the cold. Some eager to talk about the success this season. Heaven. Heaven. Completely heaven. Its the best season that weve had since ive been in grade school. Reporter and many others making bold early predictions that this great season will continue. I think the eagles are going to win on 31 to 28. 2117 eagles. 21nothing eagles. Im just highly upset carson wentz isnt playing today but im a die hard eagles fan so i think we can get the w today. Now in other news tonight fire officials in trenton are now calling a house fire that sent three people to the hospital a fatality. So far no further information has been released about this. The fire did break out about 2 30 this morning on the 200 block of cass street. It was under control in less than 45 minutes. The red cross is assisting at least four families that have been displaced. No word on the extent of the injuries or how the blaze started. A man escaped with just minor injuries after his Burlington County home explodes. This happened last night on cornell drive in delran. The explosion was so strong it blew out the first floor windows and also knocked down the homes back wall. Officials say a gas leak is to blame. And dozens rally and they also march in philadelphia trying to save Net Neutrality today the very vocal group protested at Thomas Paine Plaza in center city. They are against the fccs decision to end the obama era internet rules. These activists believe eliminating Net Neutrality would let Internet Service providers charge you more to access certain web sites and online content. Hawaii sends a terrifying false alarm about a Ballistic Missile heading for the state. For 38 minutes residents and tourists alike thought they were under attack. Cbs news correspondent lora podesta has more on how this could have happened. Reporter taking for cover or shelterinplace after receiving a false alarm that a Ballistic Missile was headed toward the island saturday morning. I was just sleeping. My friend just wake me up. He say, hey, lets go, theres a bomb coming in hawaii. I didnt think it was serious. Reporter 38 minutes after the warning went out, a second alert said it was a false alarm and no missile was incoming. Messages flashed on highway signs telling drivers there was no danger. We were in the 30s in no time and i think it felt even colder, natasha, because we were spoiled yesterday with temperatures in the 60s and todays official High Temperature actually 61 degrees. Now that did happen just after midnight. Youre like what. Wait a minute. The numbers tumbled after that. A cold front moved through and in no time we dropped into the 30s and now down in rehoboth weve dropped into the 20s. Heres a look at our live neighborhood network. Earlier this morning these boards were completely soaked from the rain we received yesterday and last night. Most areas picked up anywhere from one to 2 inches of rain. And now we have that wind out of the northnorthwest at 19 Miles Per Hour so thats helped to dry off some of those boards. And look, weve got dry air across storm scan3. High pressure has moved on in. Were dealing with mostly clear skies here at home and well deal with clear skies even as we head into the overnight hours tonight. That storm system that brought us all of that rain has moved off to the north and east and the cold air filtered in right behind it. 29 degrees right now in philadelphia. Its 26 in wilmington. 29 in millville. Down the shore temperatures in the 30s. Its 30 in atlantic city, 31 in wildwood. Of course it feels much colder, though, with the wind. Right now wind speeds coming out of the north and west anywhere from about 15 to even 20, 25 Miles Per Hour, all depending on where you live and that is contributing to a wind chill factor in the teens for most. Right now feels more like 16 degrees in philadelphia and in wilmington. Feels like 18 degrees in millville and allentown feeling like the Single Digits and in the poconos its already feeling like 9 degrees below zero. Heading into the overnight hours tonight, in the poconos it will feel as cold as five below zero to even 15 below zero from time to time. But wind chill advisory has been issued for carbon and monroe counties. Goes into effect at 9 oclock tonight lasting through 10 oclock tomorrow morning. But you know what, it makes sense because we have entered the coldest time of the year on average. That actually began yesterday and lasts through the 25th of january with the average high right around 40 degrees but we are going to be completely below that for the next five days. 32 degrees on monday, 36 tuesday. Were back into the 20s on wednesday. Then 33 degrees as we head into thursday. And that is all courtesy of a big drop in the jet stream. That has allowed us to pull in that chillier air, big old dip but its not going to last too long. You got to hang in there because by the upcoming weekend, so next weekend we are looking at another thaw heading our way. We just got to get through this week and with this cold air in place, we are tracking a clipper system heading into tuesday and wednesday and that could actually bring us a little bit of snow. Generally talking about light accumulation. Some of the higher amounts north and west but a dusting to one, 2inches will be possible as this clipper system moves in. Starting out the week we are dry and we are cold. Heres your forecast for tonight. As we head into the overnight hours, we drop into the teens. But it will feel more like the Single Digits breezy clear and much colder. Tomorrow a High Temperature around 27 degrees. That chill has certainly returned. Winter has returned with a vengeance. 32 degrees as we head into monday. Were at 36 on tuesday. Again, some light snow will be possible and it could start as early as monday night. Still working out the details with that. Couple flurries lingering around by wednesday morning. 33 on thursday and then, guys, i know youre going to like this. 40 on friday. 46 on saturday.
