Philadelphia Fire Fighters had to bolt flames and bitter cold in kensington overnight. A two alarm fire broke out inside of the shuttered a session of our Lord Catholic Church on East Cornwall street around 1 00 this morning crews evacuated two homes next door to the church as a precaution. Neighbors say that church which closed in 2012 is a popular spot for the homeless to seek shelter. It is cold outside, i know that for one, you know what i mean i know what they do when they go in there they are trying to get away from the cold. No one was hurt, at least 19 Homeless People who use the church as a shelter were displays by that fire. The cause remains under investigation. Chopper three over a rescue off the icy shores of hawk island in delanco burlington county. Man got stuck on the island around 7 00 this morning. He somehow twisted his ankle and was unable to move. Rescue crews sent a boat to send him back to dry land to get treatment for his injuries we now know identity of the 15 yearold shot to death in Phoenixville Chester county the High School Freshman was gunned down in the parking lot of the Dunkin Donuts. Reporter friend and fellow students of Phoenixville High School are processing death of the 15 yearold jason ortiz cameron, the High School Freshman was shot and kill in the backpackerring lot of the Dunkin Donuts at 218 nutt road just after 7 00 p. Eyewitness news has learned an 11 yearold girl found unresponse any of northeast philadelphia died of natural causes. Police say that girl was sleeping over a neighbors house on the 9200 block of angus place tuesday night. Neighbor found that child unresponsive yesterday morning , and called 911. She was pronounced dead at the hospital. Police say there was in sign of trauma on the child or any indication of foul play. We are learning new details about a Deadly Police involved shooting in germantown, that happened last night on the 1900 block of west nedro avenue. Two plainclothes officers first tried to pull over a car linc to last weeks deadly shooting in kensington. During that stop, Authorities Say that 25 yearold Dennis Plowden pulled off hitting one of the officers and his unmarked unit before crashing into two parked cars. Police say an officer shot the man in the head after he ignored repeated command to show his hands. Plowden died this morning at einstein medical center, police say they did not find a weapon on him or in the car. We take this very seriously, the use of deadly force and assure that the investigation is conduct very thoroughly and as we stand right now the d. A. s office as normal with these type incidents the case is under inn review there. Officer hit by a car was treated and released from a local hospital. Woman who waynes side the car that crashed was also treated for minor injuries. Authorities say the man killed by police does not appear to be connect to the kensington murder. Services are backup and running after problems with overhead power lines, disrupted service on Regional Rail lines this morning. Chestnut hill east and Manayunk Norristown lines were affected during the morning rush. Crews made the necessary repairs, and it is unclear what caused power line problems which occurred Near Temple University and Wayne Junction station. Yesterday guests had to be escorted off a dozen ride at the California Park after a power outage. Park spokesperson says that the failure inside a transformer is to blame. Power was restored within a few hours but some park goers who traveled hundreds of miles to be there, say it put a damper on their day. There air lot of crying children, you know, unhappy guests.
