Health reporter Stephanie Stahl has sarahs story. It was only thing sarah meltser could eat under going chemotherapy. I didnt really like much and that pizza was just so good. Reporter sarah lives in ambler was just five when she was diagnosed with brain cancer. They werent sure how long she would make it. Year and a half of grueling treatments sarah somehow managed to stay positive. They still called her sarah smiles sometimes, they are smiling, because she had a smile on her face all through treatment, all through losing her hair. I got used to the needles, but it was really hard, because, i could not really go to school at that point. I could not do anything, or be a normal kid. Reporter shes beyond normal these days, 12 yearold ills a straight a seventh grade shore loves her pets, rabbit and dog and her bedroom ace show place. This is our carpet that my aunt gave me. I wanted to get involved because they do so much for me and helped me so much i want to give back to them. Without them i wouldnt here. Reporter that has made her a finalist for elios phenomenal kid scholarship the pizza that kept her eating through chemotherapy could be supplying a 10,000 scholarship. I feel like i was pretty phenomenal, because, i went through all this stuff and still doing really well. Reporter sarah says she wants to help other kid with cancer, hoping the money she raises for chop will help fine better treatments for them. Eyewitness News Reporter anita oh is live at philadelphia Police Headquarters with the very latest, good morning. Reporter good morning, jan we know that victim in her 20 s but police are withholding her name at this time. As you can see homicide detectives are investigating what happened overnight, this hit and run occurred at frankford avenue and in kensington and they say they are reviewing Surveillance Video at this hour trying to determine how the suspect is, they do say that the man was driving a silver f150 older model ford and they are asking anybody with Surveillance Video to come forward with that and provide information about what may have happened. Again at this hour, what we know is a woman was killed overnight in the deadly hit a run in kensington and authorities are withhelding her name. Im a neat aoh for cbs3 Eyewitness News. I never would have expected to be here and i think this is an amazing city to be at, and especially at my age it is just a perfect pace, i want everything about it. Reporter she started with the preprofessional group, but was quickly promoted to apprentice to the company this year, but still cindy knows she has a lot have growing to do. You will do this. We over think everything and like what if i forget a step or mess up this turn. It is in the about that. It is just enjoying it and i think im starting to realize that more as i perform.
