Springs texas, gee to her life now. The community in Sutherland Springs is in a state of shock filled with anger, sadness, over the tremendous loss of life inside the First Baptist church. F. B. I. Agents are on the scene at the shooting in history, gunmen opened fire inside the First Baptist church of Sutherland Springs during sunday services killing more than two dozen people. It was just so much gunfire the victims range in age from five to 72. One thing that gives me a sliver of encouragement is the fact that was surrounded yesterday, by church family, loved fiersely. Investigators identified the gunman as 26 year old devin kelley lived about 35 miles away. Authority say he opened fire on the church, went inside, and kept firing his assault rifle. When he left the church a man who lives across the street engaged him in a gun battle. The shooter got in his truck. Johnny, and that neighbor, chased after the gunman. We hit about 95 going down 539 trying to catch this guy. And until he eventually lost control on his own and he went off in the ditch. We know during that pursuit the suspect used his cell phone to notify his father he had been shot and didnt think he would make it. But quickly he shot himself. The Sheriffs Department says kellys inlaws and exwife occasionally attended services at the church, but were not thereon sunday. He served in the air for the 2010 to 2014, court marshalled in 2012 on charges he assaulted his spouse and child. He received a bad conduct discharge. The governor of texas says kelly applied for a gun permit , but was denied. Authorities recovered three guns, all purchased by the shooter. As for the injured, ten are still in Critical Condition and the death toll could still rice. Im meg oliver, now, back to you. Meisha, already, looking ahead to upcoming weekends. That does at this point promise to be pretty chilly. With daytime highs on one of the days specifically saturday no better than the 40s, but it does stay dry that day. I do think we can see a shower around sunday, but his is always a forecast that tends to shift a little bit as we get ever closer, stay there, definitely going to have some chill in the air, ill let you below that get here, back on Eyewitness News, Daring Rescue caught on camera. So i brought my umbrella. As did i. That was smart move. We had couple of showers that work their way over, really, just outside of our Broadcast Center here, like a county or two. Thats all there was, more on the way before day is over. Not talking a wash out but a front has to cross through, so a lot of clouds out, there not the prettiest start to the work week here but still mild. That too is something thats absolutely going to go by the wayside with time. And we are actually going to be consistent for a change on the thermometer. Wont be that a novel idea. Outside, we show you whats up , first very wide zoom on storm scan, shows you multiple disturbances here, front the culprit for the wet weather today, all of the clouds initially see that rolling east right now. And impact g the northeastern united state just in general. And then youve got another system thats moving across currently the northern high planes, bringing in rounds of snow, yes, snow, certainly this is the time of year we start to see this, through the dakotas, parts of southwestern minnisota once this reaches us , i dont think weve got to worry about any snow per say, but if the pans out the way i expect it might, farther to the north, and into the poconos specially, could you actually see couple of snowflakes flying by tomorrow night. But thats a disturbance that has to climb far enough north in order for that who happen. Meantime, nothing is going to stick. We really just have too much warm air in place, otherwise, so just rain, and thunderstorm with this latest front today. Meanwhile, we do still have tropical depression to tell you about. This is very likely to become the next named storm, rina is the next name on the list. Let me show you the track it is taking far east of bermuda right now, and expected to stay far east out into the center of the atlantic as it rolls off to the north. So, not even Atlantic Canada is in its cross hairs here, we should be just fine, and it is very, very far out to sea but more of just reminder that, hey, atlantic Hurricane Season not over yet. Not technically over according to the calendar until the ends of this month. And, you know, Stranger Things have happened where systems have developed outside of the regular season. Beyond rina we have sean, tammy, vince, whitney on the list. See how we are doing beginning to wrap up the season. Live network, things cloudy, if you look real closely there is hint of blue sky trying to peak through here. But again, more than anything, lot of gray clouds, six a the temperature here at Pleasant Valley middle and high school. By comparison, overlooking from our Broadcast Center in Spring Garden, out to the south, lots of gray skies here as well. But it is 67 degrees, very, very mild day, southwest winds flow 12mile per hour, notice the breeze, but again, 67 is well above average. We expect probably few more degrees before it is all said and done. Through the afternoon expect that you will see some showers , thunderstorm rumble on in here. Later on tonight we should clear out pretty quickly, dropping down to 42 degrees. Thats seasonably cool night for you. But take a look. As we get into tomorrow, at best, 54 the daytime high. Now there is another disturbance that comes through , it will bring some late day showers, there could be some steady rain embedded within all of this. So if you are trying to stay dry going out to vote i would advise going early and moving forward we dont break the 50 s, right through friday, and heck even saturday. Looks chilly, 47, thats your high, i mean, we didnt even bottom out below the 60s this morning. Quite the turn around. Some consistency.
