People in this community arent just praying for the threeyearold shot but for his sixyearold brother, too. A sixyearold who has shot the little threeyearold he dont know no better. He probably thought it was a toy. Hes six. Reporter this shooting saddens those here in the tioga section of the city but it also frustrates some. They shouldnt have had access, no way. If they when they left, they should have took it with them. No, its unbelievable and its unacceptable. Reporter and again, the threeyearold little boy is here at temple hospital. He is in critical condition. He is fighting for his life. We are told by police that they have been talking to his two brothers and they have gotten in contact with the parents. Also tonight the search is on for a gunman who shot four people on a Basketball Court in chester Delaware County tonight. Police say the suspect fired from an elevated position along the 1200 block of carlas lane. This happened just before 6 oclock. The victims were hit in the lower body area. Right now no word on their condition or what led to this shooting. Also police say a man suspected of a double stabbing in maryland barricaded himself inside a relatives home in darby, chester county, today. Tactical teams and negotiators were outside the house on summit street for about four hours trying to get the suspect to come out. They did succeed at about 6 00 p. M. The man is suspected of stabbing his wife and threeyearold son in hartford county, maryland and is now awaiting extradition on attempted murder charges. At least two Philadelphia Police officers meantime suffered injuries during a Police Protest in center city today. Hundreds demonstrated at the International Association of chiefs of police met inside the Convention Center. Eyewitness News Reporter henry rosoff was there. Reporter cell phone video shows a scuffle between police and protesters near the frank rizzo statue. It happened a few blocks from the Convention Center which was hosting a meeting of the major cities chiefs association. Police confirm at least two officers suffered minor injuries and several arrests were made. Hours before the violence there was a march that made its way through the streets of center city. That crowd called for all Law Enforcement to be abolished. Several onlookers even those who have some problems with police thought the message was a little extreme. If something happens we need order and police, so to me i say they shouldnt abolish police but they should work together. Reporter meanwhile inside the conference the headliner attorney general Jeff Sessions wasted little time discussing an increase in Violent Crime based on the most recent fbi data. Its a troubling trend. Reporter but sessions promised the federal government would help get things back on track. Our goal is to make every community safer, especially the most vulnerable. Reporter the offer of assistance was not well received by local leaders in philadelphia. Wants to lay crime at the feet of immigrants thats pretty bad. Reporter the sessions led Justice Department has threatened to pull federal funding for local police in sanctuary cities like philly which limit cooperation with immigration officials. Well, police say four protesters were issued citations for Disorderly Conduct and two will face charges of assault on police. As for the injured officers, were told those officers were injured in a minor way. Both officers are expected to be treated and released. Also, sessions talked about the 100 million in grant money that will be going to state and local Police Departments for the hiring of more officers. And in other news now a Funeral Service was held today for one of the four u. S. Soldiers killed in the african nation of niger. Family and friends honored Sergeant La David Johnson as he was laid to rest in hollywood, florida. It comes as the fbi joins the investigation into how the soldiers were killed on october 4th. And they also want to know why johnsons body was found almost a mile from the ambush site and how he became separated from his comrades. Secretary of state Rex Tillerson is in Saudia Arabia tonight. It is the first stop on his week long tour of the middle east and south asia. In Saudia Arabia tillerson will attempt to seal a new alliance between the saudis and iraq. U. S. On october 13 monica hoppers body was found in a vacant lot. 50 women accused Harvey Weinstein of Sexual Harassment and on friday another accuser came forward. Heather kerr says weinstein made her touch him inappropriately during a business meeting in the 80s when she was young and new to the business. Claims made by 38yearold italian actress are now being investigated by lapd because her case is within the statute of limitations. That actress says weinstein bullied his way into her hotel room back in 2013. And fox news renewed the contract of former Host Bill Oreilly shortly after he paid off a colleague who was threatening to sue him for alleged sexual misconduct.
