We will check them out. Okay. From the trex to the other dinosaurs when we think of dinosaurs we mention those gigantic prehistoric creatures but the academy of Natural Sciences at Drexel University is preparing i dont dues to us some tiny titans. Their new exhibit tiny titans is opening this sat day eyewitness News Reporter pat gallen has live with a sneak peak, hi there, pat. Good morning, guys. Im just exploring looking at these Little Dinosaur eggs which is part of the new exhibit at the academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University. They have really cool stuff here for people of all ages not just kid but the adults. This is jennifer, from the academy. Good morning. Good morning. How are you. Im great. This right here is an actual dinosaur tibia that you can touch. That is pretty rare. You are allowed to touch it we want to you come in and give you a sense of what a real fossil feels like. You can do that starting saturday. This is legitimate. This thing is solid. It seems like it is heavy. Pretty heavy. We dont want anybody to car it away but you can touch it all you want. A lot of exhibits to get your hands on here. Yes. But a lot of things here like the eggs, which is part of the dinosaur egg and babies , tell us what we are looking at here. Here we have an array of all sorts of different eggs from around the world. It really allows us to have a look into the lives of dinosaurs and how they raised their young, were they solitary, did they live in groups. We can learn that by looking at these eggs. So those are casts not the real thing but this over here, thinks an actual nest of dinosaur eggs. This is real deal here going back 75, 85 million years. That is right, it is not an easy thing to find a dinosaur egg now. So it is really special to be able to see so many of them here, these are real specimens , we have numerous, nests like this throughout the exhibit many that are real fossils and many thaw can touch. When does it open and when can everybody get their hands on this. Saturday, saturday is when it all starts. We have lots of events planned too. Live bird that descended from dinosaurs. Nice. We have the egg drop challenge. Yes. Well, we will see how tough eggs really are here at the academy and drop them from great heights. We have been doing that all weekend. Visitors can help us do it. It will be great. Very cool, jennifer, thanks very much. This seems like a cool exhibit im a big dinosaur fan. Jim and rahel, you have to come out here because it is for all ages. It sounds neat, pat very interactive, i like it, thanks , pat. Katie, our science geek over there. Shes like wow. Yes smiling ear to ear saying this is really cool. Very interesting stuff, yeah. Sounds like an awesome exhibit what we will find here today is the excuse to, take a dip in the pool. If you still have one near you that is opened. Some folks still have their opened but just an excuse to do that. Looking at temperatures we are starting off with this is just one localized zoom on our Eyewitness Weather Watcher Network but we are right around 70 in many locations, and, we have check in at 69. He is ready to turn summer off i can appreciate. That many people are. It is 70 at the carres how where she too is finding cloud overhead in mount laurel. Shes trying to get used to the fact that it is still so dark this time of the morning. We still at height of the summer start to wake up, to the sun even as early as 5 30 in the morning. Clearly that is not the case. Sun barely rising as we speak. Wider zoom to show you it is still very mild, regional wide this morning from the watchers i did want to show you a couple pictures, phil chapline sent these in of fall foliage, beautiful, bright vibrant collars popping in chestnut hill. He sent a separate one in as well this one on henry avenue in roxborough. So some of new some neighborhood are starting to see this we are not necessarily going to see a ton of fall foliage change just yet because your average peak, doesnt happen until generally late october for bulk of our area, sooner further are northwest you go. Right now we have nice collar in the adirondacks for example but that is bit. As we look at is what going on with our current pattern. Heres Tropical Storm maria that may throw a shower in at some point but keeps surf choppy as well this front is crossing through to send maria packing and send this warmth passing as well. So once we get pennsylvania today just wait for it, it is much more falllike especially friday through weekend, crisp feeling to the air. You have to break out not just your fall boots but extra layers by the time we hit friday. Dropping down to the 60s, thanks very much, katie. I dont mind that. Jeans, boots, i love that but i will miss the hot weather, ill be honest. Tacony palmyra bridge is scheduled to opened up at 6 55 see it right there looking good around that area it will be opening. Vine is slow pushing in the westbound direction toward the schuylkill. We have bumper to bumper conditions. Eastbound side we are okay but dropping less than posted speed. Schuylkill headlights moving in the westbound direction toward turnpike we have reports of a disabled, vehicle pulled off to the shoulder so just a head up, and very slow moving, most parts of the schuylkill at this point. We have an accident northeast extension sound southbound, one lane blocked, and construction in princeton, it is closed between between carter road and elm road. Reopens on sat tape. Your alternative is route one or princeton pike, mercer round, and it is also, detoured because of. That delaware Memorial Bridge has construction still north and southbound, one lane is block, there. Jim, back over to you. Thanks, meisha. Getting moving in the morning can be difficult, lot of us hit that snooze alarm but making Good Breakfast can help and doctor rob is here to talk to us about the breakfast really make a big difference doctor rob. It is huge. We are starting our day from sleeping overnight and if we take in bad nutrition we will get sleepy and lack energy f we take in Good Nutrition we will be energized. We have a whole display of food. Everyone says eggs are very good for breakfast but does it make a difference how you prepare them. First off, eggs are energizing, easily digest ted great source of protein, minerals and vitamins and it will keep us from being hungry later on. It does matter. If you fry them with lots of butter it takes away from it. Very minimal but dont use cheese but add vegetables like i have broccoli, spinach, tomatoes, mushrooms and vegetables in there which is great, protein and vegetables great start. Hard bowled good. Only like 60 calories depending on the size of the eggs. Quick on the road, if you dont have time running to work, grab and egg or two it really helps. I was having toe in the morning when i woke up at 1 30 i switched over to yogurt but carbs, all these muffins and pancakes, they look really good. They look good but are they good for us. No, that blueberry muffin 460 calories would you think there is blueberries, good, mostly sugar. Bagels look great, one with cream cheese we have 400 calories, and you know what will happen . Taste good half an hour later you will be sleeping. Crashing. Yeah. People just want things that are quick to go. What about brands and granola and things like that. Yeah, so oatmeal is really g it helps us, release seratonin and decrease our stress response and energy, slowly. You want oatmeal with a lot of fiber, five to 7 grams and low sugar. If you got to have cereals have won with fiber because it releases energy slowly and that is better. What about yogurt. I switched from my toast to yogurt and granola is that better. Notice a different. A slight bit. When you have yogurt go for greek yogurt. It has double amount of protein and less sugar and better for us, add some fruit to it and then you have an energizing breakfast for your morning that will last through to lunch and feel better any particular type of fruit is better than other. You want fruit with fiber, apples are good. Skin has fiber. Water dense fruits like, you have grapes there and cantelopes and honey due that is really good, and hydrates us and fills us up. Anything to keep in mind everybody grabs first cup of coffee anything to keep in. Drink water first. We are dehydrated from overnight. When you sleep, you get dehydrated. Water first thing in the morning, it will help fill us up, eat less for breakfast. Caffeine is okay but that is a chemical.
