Todays biggest impact is jose churning off shore, but it is expected to bring in certainly some rain specially the coast. More inland, less impact on you. If youre further inland, likely, have to deal with bit of breeze and maybe some clouds and shower or two, but thats really it. So, it is one of those forecasts that location, location, location, just like realtors, everything. Take a look at the storm it, doesnt look all that impressive. It is still, now, going to bring us some pretty substantial impact here locally. Talk about the winds, specially, that likely ends up being the biggest issue, do you think youll see steady rain at the shore . At least for a time. But not an all day thing, flooding shouldnt be as much of a major concern for you there. We put things into motion, though. See the sustained winds speeds as high as at least 30 Miles Per Hour, possibly right at the immediate shore, gets little higher than that, specially into pm hours of today t does start to pull away. Jose will turn nearby well off shore for couple of days generally doesnt cause any more headaches other than today. Beach errosion, gusty winds, certainly some rain, greatest impact as i mentioned does in fact happen today. Lets check on maria, because thats definitely something that needs to be monitored. There is a potential this, as it crosses through the puerto rico area, is going to even rebound to a category five status, before it is all said and done, so that could be talking catostrophic damage in that area. But, look at where it eventually goes. Much like president zest ers, it will eventually make righthand turn somewhere along the way, and the thought is right now that it will turn right soon enough that it may completely bypass the eastern seaboard. So, definitely some good news there, but even still, there could definitely be some stronger surround every at our shore points from a major hurricane churning nearby to our south and east. Meisha . All right, katie, thank you so much. And a very good morning to all of you, happy tuesday. Looking outside right now, see the vine closed between the schuylkill and broad, both moving in the westbound side and the eastbound side. Ill let you know as soon as that clears. Same story here, construction 95 both directions, this is bucks county, so northbound between route one and route 332, southbound between route one and business route one there is camera shot showing you close to route one, but, congestion levels, theyre just isnt any. Looking actually real good there. Then talking about construction on the roosevelt boulevard as well northbound between ninth street and mascher street, outer lanes right now are closed. This is going to be an area in the early 5 00 hour will start to slow down, so ill let you know as soon as that clears out of your way, as well. Im telling you, we will check in with you in the next hour. Coming up after the break, another check on traffic. Plus, katie is tracking hurricane jose, and maria, when Eyewitness News continues this morning. Today ends up being the biggest impact day from hurricane jose, and not expected to have any direct impact on our area, but indirect impart specially at the shore points. One more look for you at jose on the wide zoom on storm scan3, it is a strung out storm system, and thankfully, certainly close by, but not directly moving on shore here. Now, you are going to end up dealing with beach errosion, some coastal flooding, that kind of thing, there are coastal flood warnings posted up and down the shore points, anywhere from delaware up through new jersey, but, we also have to deal with some rain. So lets take a look at future weather here. Take it forward in a couple of f the day here. For the most part, the further inland you go, more likelyly not only are you going to stay dry but probably see breaks every sunday shine, but in the that toward late this morning, this is just model thats important to point out, some of the rain bands start to move on shore. Now, this there like like is short period of steadier rain near the shore point. But it doesnt last long enough that you have to deal with any kind of major flooding, then the storm just rotates away. So, by the time we hit wednesday, into early thursday , were back to nice quiet pattern, for the most part. Winds even still, even atlantic city, only at 15 Miles Per Hour, and do certainly think you will see stronger winds than that as the morning and afternoon progress, but allinall, were being spared what could have been much worse blow from the way the storm is tracking. Very good morning, still early, still dark outside, not even in the 5 00 hour, and talking construction of course so we have it here in bucks county, 59 both directions northbound between route one, route 332, southbound route one and business route one. This camera shot actually showing you close to route one you can see, crews out there, plus we still have the cones in the roadway, it will start to slow us down, more in the 5 00 hour, as soon as they move out of our way you will be the first to know, vine overnight construction, it is back with us, westbound, between the schuylkill and broad. Thats now open eastbound side still waiting on you, thats still closed. Ill let you know again as soon as the eastbound side opens up. Ben franklin bridge, just want to show you gorgeous shot.
