If you are out here early this morning, driving around, getting your day started make sure youre taking little extra caution because of all of the fog that we do have out there. Visibilities are on the lower side here they are for you. See up through the Lehigh Valley mile or less in lots every places, allentown, less than a mile, reading has gone from just below about a mile visibility, now to up 1. 5 miles. See here across the i95 corridor, not as bad, so philly, trenton, wilmington, visibilities arent too bad. Okay, matt, speaking of jose the jersey shore is paying close attention to the path of hurricane jose. Fall starts next friday, but ocean city in cape may form, emergency manager says it is too soon to make any real decisions about jose but the latest movement has officials closely monitoring the track and thinking about how to respond to potential impacts. Looking at some possible minor to moderate coastal flooding right now, if the storm tracks further in, or makes landfall, we could be looking at major coastal flood ing. There is heavy wave action right now, so if youre headed to the beach this weekend, be aware and watch out for rip current. New this morning, a fire is damaged a home in philadelphias west oaklane neighborhood. Firefighters returned to the 1500 block of may land street just before 3 00 this morning. Now, there are no reports of any injuries there. Firefighters had that fire under control in just about 20 minutes. The cause of the fire is now under investigation. Meantime, parents in northeast philadelphia, are on edge today after series every attempted abductions there. Philadelphia police say there have been six in the past week alone. Investigators now hope you can help them finds a vehicle, Eyewitness News reporter alexandria hoff picks up the story. Tomlinson road, byberry road, 5300 ditman street and the 4900 block of ditman street, 4900 ditman street. Six separate instances, seven children targeted, and one black car. So shelters to send pets to other areas early on anticipating the needs for more space once the storms hit these are just two of ten shelter dogs that have been rescued from areas affected by hurricanes harvey and irma. But in total, there are 60 dogs, and eight a cats, that need a new home. Theyre all available at the Adoption Center on county host road in blackwood. This is marcia. She is ten month old. She is actually from texas. When she first came in she was really scared. As you can tell, she not scared any more. Volunteers hope during a time in which so many have lost so much, these animals can gain a loving family again come down, adopt, foster, you can see that these dogs are just loving dogs. Now matt it seems like weve been hit by one storm after the other, Hurricane Irma, now tracking hurricane jose. Started when harvey down in houston, still dealing with the effect that far, now we have irma, and now jose, and theyve all been in three different areas. We had texas of course, the gulf of mexico, irma coming up through the keys, and now jose turning out in the atlantic ocean, could affect us here in the northeast. So it is a wild part of the atlantic hurricane season. We are in the peak part of this season, as well, so, again, while this is a bit uncommon to justinly see these storms get closer and closer to the continental us, it is not uncommon to see this many storms in general there is time of year, because again we are in the peak part of this season. Starting things offer, right away, talking about what is now hurricane jose. Category one, seeing winds right around 80 miles an hour or so, again, this is still at this point churning out in the atlantic ocean, and right now, not affecting any land, but as we put our track on it, lets talk about where this is going to go. It will start to track northward. In fact, already start today do. That will you see hereby tuesday morning, into next week, were seeing still category one storm just off the coast of the carolinas, and then it will continue to track north. Then it will eventually spin out, out over the northern atlantic. Of course what were concerned with here in the northeast, when we start to see obama expect along new jersey and coastline, 2 00 in the morning tuesday, seeing it down near the carolina outer banks, so we can expect to see this up near new jersey, and maybe even up near long island as we get toward the end of the day on tuesday, and into wednesday so thats almost when we start to see really some of the more heavy effect across the new jersey and delaware coastline. What is going to be most likely probably some rip countries being and then also the chance for some gusty winds, we will talk exactly about this impact in just a second. Now of course the cone that we had, that we just showed you, extends all the way from the coastline out into the northern atlantic. These are our computer models for jose. You can see, they are starting to get little more clustered together. Starting to get a little bit more compact. And thats a sign of more confidence with our computer models of where jose will go. So again, it is now shifted little bit back further out into the open ocean, which is good news, again as these get closer and closer together it, looks like our confidence goes higher and higher that this will remain off shore, good news, here are the impact what we are expecting here little closer to home. The rough surround r surf, high winds, strong rip current , what we need to be concerned with as we go through the weekends, this weekend, if you are down the shore, if you are planning on maybe going down today, tomorrow, do be careful if you do go in the water. Of course, rain and winds along the coastline are going to be some issues, as well, we could be looking for the potential for strong gusty winds maybe around Tropical Storm force even in a few areas if it does get close enough to us. Beach errosion, coastal flooding, always a problem with these kind of storms. Little further inland, closer to us, here, in philly, we could be looking for some showers or isolated rumble every thunder. Not just hoe says, but also tropical depression 14 out there spiraling also in the open ocean. Could potentially become tropical system lee, if it does get named. Storm scan3 closer to home, not too much happening out there. And our future weather shows few showers for us today. Really looks like little bit of fog could develop tonight into tomorrow morning. It is going to start to track to the north though. Kind of already started to do that. As we put our National Hurricane center track on it, you can see, that our cone of course gets wider with time. Because they have little bit more uncertainty in our forecast. And by the time we get to tuesday morning, were seeing the track keep it off the coastline of the outer banks, of carolina, still category one status, but then, by the time we get to probably about midmorning, to then the afternoon hours on tuesday, were bringing jose a little bit closer to the delaware valley. And this is where we need to keep an eye on the cone. Because if by tuesday afternoon the track tracks little further to the west, we could get it a little closer to the delaware and new jersey shore points, but if our track takes it little bit out further to the east, that means, were further off the coastline, and the effect of jose along the shore points, are not quite as pronounced. We will talk about the impact that we could see in just one second. Now our sustained winds, this is our model thats going to give us idea where the strongest winds are. Right now in the northeast corner, of the storm, thats usually where we see them when the storm is a little bit more developed. As it weak edges, comes little further north into some cooler water, actually, see the storm expands little bit t means that the winds field is also going to expand, and you see here, by 3 00 in the afternoon , next tuesday, the coastline, delaware shore point, even up toward long island, were looking at potential poor maybe some sustained winds in the 30 to almost 40mile per hour range. Now, again, if we track a little bit further off the coast, we will get some weaker winds, but if this this does push, we could get 40, 50d winds on the shore point. Still keeping an eye where jose will be go. Either way, already starting to get largest waves, larger swells coming across the new jersey shore. If you are down at the beach this weekend, be careful. We do have strong rip current that are going to most likely peak early next week, then we start to see our impact kind of fadeaways jose starts to move further and further away from the area, as we get into the middle and then ends of next week. Overall, rough surf and rip current, thats our impact number one that were keeping an eye on. Winds and rain along the coastline of course like you just showed you, sustained could be on the strong side it , does give us chance for some possible beach errosion, as it gets little closer as jose does again early next week, and also, some coastal flooding could be an issue, too, so keep an eye on that. Further inland toward philly here we could be looking for maybe shower, isolated rumble every thunder, overall, right now, not too much happening on storm scan3, closer to home, in general, as we go through the rest of the day today, maybe stray shower, little bit of fog is possible early tomorrow, showers north and west of the city then on sunday, and thats our theme for monday, as well.
