Some residents in kensington are without water this morning after a huge sinkhole opens up in the middle of the streetment look how big that thing s water main break caused street to collapse at the intersection of tulip and huntingdon. Eyewitness News Reporter justin finch joins us now, with the latest details, frustrating morning for resident there, justin, good morning. Reporter it will be, erika, once they wake up, because the time line as to when that water will be restored is still at this time unclear, though, the effort to restore water has been going well into the night into the overnight and continues at this time. Ill step out of the way so you can see there, now, we are told that much of the 2300 block of handcuff inning ton street is without water this morning. That means, at least ten homes now are without water, as you see, the back hoe here is in place. Continuing the clean up and restoration effort here. Lets take to you video so you can see what this was earlier. City water crews have been working here since yesterday we are told. Thats what the 12inch water main ruptured near the corner every tulip and huntingdon streets yesterday. What followed is a collapse enough to sing the corner the intersection, appears to swallow an entire car. Now fire officials tell us report of sinkhole first came into them at about 3 00 yesterday afternoon. Water service was turned off in this area, so crews could come here, and assess what the problem with a. What the problem was, again, 20inch water main below gown here. Peco, pgw crews on the scene to make sure it was safer to work and not hampered by their effort here. Now, back out live, as you see them sweeping up here, the debris, that they had to dig up and disturb to make their restoration effort here happen this morning, we know at least ten homes here, on huntingdon are without water this morning. And again, the time line as to when that water will be restored has not been made available at this time. Twentyfive year old Steven Shearer is accused of child endangerment and distribution of on sense at this to minor. Odonnells 17 year old daughter chelsey was found in his house august 18th after she went missing for a week. She reportedly suffers from mental illness. Indy car driver, justin wilson, died monday from a head injury he received during a race sunday at the Pocono Raceway. A piece of debris that fell off another car hit wilson in the head. His car then careened into the wall at the racetrack. The 37 year old was taken to a hospital in allentown by helicopter, he died with his family at his bedside. Indy car officials announced his death monday evening. Justins elite ability to drive a race car was matched by his un waivering kindness, character, and humility. Wilson was british, but lived in Longmont Colorado near denver. Indy car Officials Say he was respected by teammates and competitors alike.
